Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum (NSGF) and Governor of Niger State, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, has faulted the conspiracy theory alleging that the Jama’atul Ahlil Sunnah Bil Da’awatil Wa Jihad generally recognised as Boko Haram was to blame for the cycle of bombing attacks and killing of innocent people in the north.
He said rather than blame the group for the spate of violence, he said the killings and bombings currently rocking the region may be part of a well co-coordinated attempt to cripple the economy of the region..
According to Babangida Aliyu;
Given the level of sophistication involved in the activities of the perpetrators of the bombings, it was easy to conclude that some oblique forces are behind the violence in the north and not Boko Haram alone as widely believed
